Gerri Marie Veith, Owner
200-hour Certified Infinite Light Yoga Teacher

I have been practicing yoga for over five years and immediately fell in love with it. Although, it took me some time to develop a regular practice I always knew this would be my calling. I kept coming back to it and recently was certified through Infinite Light Yoga under the leadership of Tony Riposo who has earned the certification title of Advanced Certified Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher, and an E-RYT 500. I fell in love with his style of teaching, which makes yoga accessible to everyone. And I am proud to belong to the lineage of Swami Kripalvanandji. I truly believe everyone can benefit from the practice of yoga. It is not just for the super flexible or for super athletes. It is for mothers and fathers. It is for the young and the gently aging. It is for the disabled and for the body that has special needs. I teach in the traditional Hatha Yoga style which links the mind, body, and breath, to each movement. Each class is led using detailed instruction to encourage anatomical alignment. Variations and modification of the postures are woven into each class in order to ensure the highest level of participation and enjoyment for each student. All classes include the physical postures, meditation, breathing, and the relaxation techniques of classical yoga. My goal is to provide a safe and comforting escape from the outside world for the small time we have together and I encourage each student to make this their “me experience” and to be in the “now,” so they may have a chance to fall in love with yoga as I did.

Yoga for Every Body!
I have been practicing yoga on and off for five years and have had some interesting experiences. I remember during one “beginner” class I found myself thinking... “This is a beginner class?” The instructor was calling out poses as though everyone knew what to do, where to put their hands and feet and there was no instruction for modifications if one may have needed them. Having really no idea what I was doing or why and flopping around for an hour trying to keep up, I left that class pretty defeated. Instead of having enjoyed the experience, I felt as though I couldn’t possibly ever rise to the level of what many yoga instructors seem to think a yoga practitioner is or should be. *Spoiler Alert: I’m not tall or skinny and 25 is most definitely in my rear-view mirror.
Like most anyone, I’ve dealt with issues that took a toll on my health and well-being and although I had experienced a few less than inspiring yoga classes, I knew that I wanted to pursue a yoga practice, not only for the physical benefits but also for the mindful benefits. In 2017, I began practicing at Infinite Light Yoga Studio where I was shown the science of yoga (how and why the body works the way it does), the benefits a yoga practice can bring to other aspects of your life (mind, body and spirit), as well as how to address physical issues with modifications. With the proper instruction and explanation of the poses involved in a yoga practice, I discovered what the practice of yoga truly can be and have never looked back. As a result of rediscovering my love of yoga, I embarked on an amazing journey to become a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher through the Infinite Light Yoga Teacher Training. Throughout my training my belief was reinforced that the practice of yoga truly can be for every body. It is my honor to bring the yoga experience to anyone that is seeking a way to bring a beneficial change to their body and into their life.

I am an Infinite Light Yoga Instructor.  ILY is a new style of yoga created by Tony Riposo and deeply rooted in the teachings of Kundalini Master Swami Kripalvanandji (Swami Kripalu).  They teach that health and harmony in mind, body and spirit can be attained through the practice of Yoga which I believe to be very true. I was drawn to ILY because my long-time yoga instructor, Cybie Mauro, was trained in the Kripalu tradition, and through her classes I found myself healing both physically and emotionally.  Before yoga, I had a multitude of injuries from years of running, and working as a wildlife photographer with heavy equipment.  My photography work and running both soothed my spirit and at the same time challenged my body.  Yoga offered me a way to heal my injuries, as well as strengthen and take care of my body and mind.  The unexpected part was how my spirit also healed and strengthened along the way. The teachings and techniques lead me back home to myself.  With each yoga sadhana, each practice, I develop a deeper, more lasting sense of peace, wholeness and true belonging. I am forever grateful for this, for my teachers.  Having felt the benefits of yoga so deeply, I was curious to learn and understand more. This is why I decided to study Classical yoga and become certified as an Infinite Light Yoga teacher.  Inspired by my teachers to become a teacher, I am honored to support others in their own practice of Yoga and self-discovery.

I am new to the Yogic world and I am beyond grateful. I took an 8-week beginner's class at LRY and fell in love with yoga, but I wanted to know more and more about what yoga has to offer. I am a widowed parent and have struggled with anxiety/depression most of my life. The grief process was mentally draining on a day-to-day basis and I personally was just existing. I was living in my mind instead of living with my mind. I also suffered from chronic neck/shoulder pain and migraines. When I began yoga I was getting bi-weekly massages to help with the pain in my neck/shoulders. Since I have been doing yoga, I no longer suffer from neck/shoulder pain, my migraines are significantly reduced and I am happy and calm. I am a recent graduate of Infinite Light Yoga Teaching Training Program (February 2019). I would love the opportunity to share/teach you my love for yoga with you and unite body, mind and spirit. ANYBODY can do YOGA and to prove that, I offer modifications to all poses to accommodate for limitations and injuries as you gain strength and flexibility in each class. Try just one and you'll see!!!!!

Mother of 3 with over 900 hours of Barre experience

I am a true Barre lover! I have been a Barre instructor for over 4 years now and enjoy seeing the transformation participants have had. I'm what some might say "obsessed" with the practice of form and balance through every class. I had a hip replacement almost 3 years ago and didn't realize how much barre had improved my true core strength until after having the surgery, your hips are such a crucial part of your every day life. And, I'd love to show you how Barre can improve your daily life as well. I am looking forward to sharing my love for Barre with you through my Instructing at Like Royalty Yoga!

I walked into my first Bikram Yoga Oswego class in the Spring of 2010; and I was hooked right from the start. As I continued to practice Bikram yoga, I couldn't believe how much it was changing my life in a positive way. I began practicing as much as I could, usually 3 to 5 times a week. The more I practiced yoga, the more I fell in love with it, and I knew I had to go to training so I could share my love of yoga with others.
In 2016 I took my 200-hour training with Infinite Light Center for Yoga and Wellness in Jamesville, NY, (registered with Yoga Alliance, RYT-200). My training covered anatomy & physiology principles, pranayama methods, meditation and relaxation techniques. I
completed a Yin Yoga certification; I am certified in Divine Sleep® Yoga Nidra, and I’m currently working on a Restorative Yoga certification. I am a Level II Usui Holy Fire Reiki practitioner, and certified Chakra Balancing practitioner.
I love yoga, and I strongly believe in connecting the breath with the body. I believe in letting
the breath flow through you, helping you to really connect the breathing with the movement.
Our breath is our fuel and can help us into the posture, help us hold the posture and help us generate more life energy to carry us through the class, and through the rest of our day!
I want to help students develop their practice physically and mentally. We all have challenging days on the mat, as in our everyday life, so I try to encourage students to be kind
to themselves while doing their best for that day, one breath at a time. Every day is a new
beginning!
